I was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. I really enjoy living here - you have both the river and the ocean, great food, great views and great people! I also lived in Naples, Italy for 3 years when I was growing up and it played a great part in triggering my desire to explore and meet new cultures.

I am a Software Engineer in the Product Engineering team. Our job is to develop our platform application - Sherwood - which is a Marketplace for nature-based carbon removal and to implement engineering best practices that will help the team and the product.

Treeconomy combines the three things I value the most in a company, which are challenges, a passionate team, and a great mission. The fact that we get to create innovative solutions that benefit our planet is truly a privilege.

I'd have to say Pine and Olive trees. One of my favourite things to do is take my dog for long a walk in Monsanto (a protected forest in Lisbon) which is filled with Pine trees, among others. The Olive tree, on the other hand, is part of my heritage from Alentejo - the countryside in Portugal - and it is also one of my family names (Oliveira).

Traveling and learning about new cultures is definitely high on my list. While I can’t be traveling all the time, you’ll catch me hanging around with my dogs, watching a good movie, or having a drink somewhere in Lisbon with friends.
